O sketchbook como ferramenta nos processos criativos de moda

Abstract

The present study aims to identify and analyze the use of the sketchbook as an instrument in the creative process of fashion designers, especially in the development of creations and collections. Throughout the research, topics such as creativity, the creative process, and tools applied to fashion design are addressed. In this context, the main purpose of this study is to understand and analyze the use of the sketchbook in the fashion creative process, considering its functions, potential, and limitations. Therefore, this research seeks to expand the theoretical framework on the subject through books, scientific articles, and undergraduate theses, taking into account the existing gaps in national academic production regarding the sketchbook as an instrument in the fashion creative process. Additionally, qualitative research was conducted through the application of questionnaires to students and professionals in the fashion field. Aiming to understand their perceptions and ways of using the sketchbook in the development of projects and fashion products. In this way, the study demonstrates the potential of the sketchbook, reaffirming its relevance for both academic training and professional practice in fashion.
