Memórias afro-indígenas e patrimônios imateriais na Zona da Mata Mineira: olhares sobre as práticas culturais de Pirapetinga e Estrela Dalva

Abstract

This dissertation aimed to investigate Afro-indigenous cultural practices and memories of residents of the municipalities of Pirapetinga and Estrela Dalva, both located in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais. In this sense, we reconsidered the legacies left by the colonial occupation process in the way of life of the interviewees, representing aspects of labor relations, such as the colonato and its customs. With a view to the cultural manifestations that appeared during the preliminary research, we chose to construct an interdisciplinary perspective focused on the historical and heritage diversity of the Mata mineira, considering the cultural contributions of Africans, indigenous people and their descendants based on the articulation of memories and intangible cultural heritage, such as the festivities of Folia de Reis, Boi Pintadinho and Mineiro-Pau.
