| Resumo: | A Estética, como ramo da Filosofia, busca compreender o que torna algo belo e questiona porque a aparência de certas coisas nos agrada ao ponto de as considerarmos belas. A Odontologia estética é uma área que tem como objetivo principal promover a harmonia e a funcionalidade do sorriso, combinando saúde bucal com estética. Por meio de abordagens personalizadas, o profissional da Odontologia transforma não apenas o sorriso, mas também a autoconfiança e a qualidade de vida do indivíduo atendido. Este trabalho apresenta os parâmetros estéticos do sorriso com impacto periodontal, ressaltando aspectos que possam nortear o profissional na condução do tratamento periodontal. Destacam-se os aspectos estéticos do sorriso, explorando a anatomia gengival, as proporções dentárias ideais e os fatores que influenciam a estética bucal. Cada elemento estético é abordado e ilustrado com imagens ao longo do texto, sendo o tema organizado no formato de publicação científica. |
| Abstract: | Aesthetics, as a branch of Philosophy, seeks to understand what makes something beautiful and questions why we are pleased with the appearance of certain things to the point that we consider them beautiful. Aesthetic Dentistry is a field whose main objective is to promote harmony and functionality of the smile, combining oral health with aesthetics. Through personalized approaches, the dentistry professional transforms not only the smile, but also the self-confidence and quality of life of the individual treated. This work presents the aesthetic parameters of the smile with periodontal impact, highlighting aspects that can guide the professional in conducting periodontal treatment. The aesthetic aspects of the smile are highlighted, exploring the gingival anatomy, ideal dental proportions and the factors that influence oral aesthetics. Each aesthetic element is addressed and illustrated with images throughout the text, with the theme being organized in the format of a scientific publication. |
